Kai Schreiber, the 16-year-old daughter of actors Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, stepped into the spotlight with her first runway appearance at Paris Fashion Week. She walked in Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 show on March 9, marking a big moment in her early modeling career.

The show, titled “Le Méta-Théâtre Des Intimités,” was staged with a moody, surreal set inspired by filmmaker David Lynch. The collection, designed by Alessandro Michele, played with themes of identity and intimacy—fitting for Kai’s debut.

Kai, who is transgender, wore a python-print knit minidress with a purple feathered collar. She completed the look with white lace stockings, a nude headband, and blue-tinted sunglasses, making a strong impression on the runway.

After the show, Kai shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, “omggg my heart is so full 💗 ilysm @alessandro_michele @maisonvalentino @yad1m @paulhanlonhair.” Both her parents expressed their pride on social media. Naomi Watts wrote, “Be still my beating heart!! 🙌♥️🙌 bravo darling ILSM and what a show!! @maisonvalentino 💥💪,” while Liev Schreiber added, “Beyond beyond Kai.”

Kai’s debut also sparked conversations about nepotism in fashion. Liev Schreiber responded to criticism by saying, “I don’t have many thoughts for the haters… That’s her life and she does what she wants with her life. I’m super proud of her and I thought she did an amazing job with the show.”

Before her runway debut, Kai had already been making appearances at major fashion events, including Dior’s Pre-Fall 2024 show in New York and Balenciaga’s Haute Couture show in Paris. These outings showed her growing interest in the fashion world and her close relationship with her mother.

Kai has also had a taste of the entertainment industry early on, lending her voice to a young wolf character in the 2016 film The Jungle Book, alongside her brother, Sasha. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have long supported their children’s interests, encouraging them to follow their own paths.

Kai’s debut is more than just a personal milestone; it’s part of a broader push for greater diversity and inclusivity in the fashion world. Her presence on the runway is a step forward, reflecting the evolving face of the industry.
