Miss International Queen 2022 Fuschia Anne Ravena has become the latest inspiration behind a Jojo Bragais pageant shoe, joining a celebrated list of Filipino beauty queens who’ve had footwear named after them.

Bragais, a well-known Filipino designer, creates high-heeled shoes worn by pageant contestants worldwide. His newest release, the “Fuschia,” was unveiled in an emotional unboxing video posted on his social media page. In the video, Ravena is seen reacting to the shoe being named in her honor.

“Seeing it for the first time, I was shocked. I asked about the shoe’s name, because the designs have their own names. I was just expecting just another Bragais model,” she said.

The “Fuschia” features a 6.5-inch heel, platform base, and comes in two versions. One has a classic nude tone, while the other highlights pink and blue accents — colors representing the transgender flag.

“The design resonates deeply with me. The nude color is the common shoe that is used in pageants, while the pink and blue colors embody the trans flag,” Ravena explained.

“The Fuschia shoes represent trans Pinays, and using it on the Miss International Queen Philippines stage is one for the books. Bragais has always been our trusted shoes in pageantry. And now, it’s an iconic symbol of our community’s excellence and pride,” she continued.

The new shoe was also the official footwear of Miss International Queen Philippines 2025, held on July 9. At that event, Anne Patricia Lorenzo was crowned and will go on to represent the Philippines in Thailand.

With this tribute, Ravena joins other Bragais muses such as Chelsea Manalo, Krishnah Gravidez, Pia Wurtzbach, Kylie Verzosa, and Megan Young. The “Chelsea” debuted during the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, and the “Krishnah” was released just two months ago. Other popular designs include the “Pia,” “Kylie,” and “Megan.”

Ravena said she had always admired the queens who inspired Bragais designs but never imagined she would one day be one of them.

“I admire the other queens with their own tributes, they are my idols. And I thought, wow, how lucky I am. Now, having my own is surreal, it’s an incredible honor,” she said.

She also expressed gratitude to Bragais for celebrating transgender Filipinas.

“Salamat at binigyan mo ng pagkakataon na mabigyan ng karangalan ang mga trans Pinay through your craft,” she said. (Thank you for giving trans Filipinas the opportunity to be honored through your craft)

“Continue to be an inspiration to everyone, we are grateful to have you, and we love you.”
