Brazilian singer Liniker won three major awards at the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards. Her wins make her the most-awarded transgender woman in the history of the Latin Grammys.

Liniker’s album CAJU was the focus of the night. It won Contemporary Pop Album. The record mixes samba, funk, jazz and other Brazilian styles. It has been praised for showing Afro-Brazilian roots and for its strong streaming numbers.

She also won Best Portuguese Language Song for “Veludo Marrom” and an award for Urban Performance. Liniker entered the ceremony with seven nominations, which was among the highest of the year.

During the event, she performed “Negona de Olhos Terríveis,” which received strong praise from both audiences and artists. Her appearance and wins were widely celebrated online.

Liniker first made history in 2022 as the first trans woman to win a Latin Grammy. Her new wins build on that moment and raise her global profile. Critics say her success can open more doors for Black and trans artists in Latin music.

Liniker will continue promoting CAJU on tour through 2025.
